ABOUT
ELECTRONIC JOURNALS: this page lists important considerations
about electronic journals.
CURRENT ISSUE: the electronic and the paper
versions are often "out of sync", in terms of their availability.
Sometimes the paper version is available prior to the electronic;
sometimes the electronic version is available prior to the print copy.
COVERAGE: full text access may vary as journal
publishers expand and/or limit their archives and service offerings. In
addition, site license and subscription provisos may change without
notice. Please notify the Library staff should you encounter restricted
access to journals.
|
READER SOFTWARE: access to full text online often
requires Adobe
Acrobat reader for PDF software
ACCESS: ON AND OFF CAMPUS: some journals are
restricted to on-campus computers only; others are recognized with
tether connections. For more information about off-campus access, click here .
PASSWORDS: passwords are not required
for any journal which falls under the auspices of the MIT licensing
agreement for electronic access. IMPORTANT NOTE: Your computer must be
included in the PSFC or MIT IP domain. Access to electronic journals
often requires entry through the PSFC Library or MIT Libraries' gateway
via the links provided below.
