SUBMISSION OF ELECTRONIC VUGRAPHS/SLIDES
- FOR REMOTE PRESENTERS
The format of the presentations will consist of a
five-minute, no-more-than-three-slide, talk summarizing the basic idea and
benefits of each proposed experiment, as well as its
motivation, goals, and general plan of execution.
All presentations must be in electronic form. They can be pdf,
MSWord, or PowerPoint documents. Please name them "Ideas04_your-last-name_first-two-words-in-ideas-title.ext",
where "ext" is the appropriate extension (.pdf, .doc, or .ppt). Then e-mail
them to Jim Terry (terry@psfc.mit.edu).
You should receive an e-mail confirming the reception of the file. The
file must be received at MIT by Monday, September 8, 2003. All presentation
slides will be served (via
meetingplace and VNC) from MIT. The remote presenter will give his/her
talk at the remote location, the audio portion of which will be available
to all Forum attendees. If the remote presentation is from GA, PPPL, or U.
Texas, then remote video and audio is available via the ISDN
bridge. If the remote presenter is not from one of those institutions,
then he/she should use one of the telephone
lines reserved for this purpose. (Please contact Josh Stillerman (jas@psfc.mit.edu) prior to the Forum if
you plan to use one of the telephone links. We will link all presentations
on the Forum
Agenda page, so that, at the time of presentation, the moderator can
easily call up the document from the Agenda
page. Individuals may present as many ideas on separate topics as they wish,
but each presentation should be self-contained and limited to five minutes.
Brief, constructive, group discussion will follow each presentation; the
discussion should focus on clarification, not detailed critiques.
