From "start" select "run"
Type \\alcpc1\Presentations\IDEAS2004 in the prompt box
If prompted, authenticate with either your LINUX/Windows
username and password OR "presenter" and its password (you should know it)
Drag your presentation there and make sure it is named "Ideas04_your-last-name_first-two-words-in-ideas-title.ext",
where "ext" is the appropriate extension (.pdf, .doc, or .ppt).
If you are on a MAC using OSX and on the
PSFC Network, then
Pull down the "go" menu of the Finder and select "Connect
to Server..."
In the Address box, type smb://alcpc1.psfc.mit.edu/Presentations
In the Filesystem Authentication box that comes up, type your LINUX
username and password, and click OK
The Network ICON for PRESENTATIONS will appear on your desktop, double
click on it to open it
Select the IDEAS2004 folder,
drag your presentation there and make sure it
is named "Ideas04_your-last-name_first-two-words-in-ideas-title.ext", where
"ext" is the appropriate extension (.pdf, .doc, or .ppt).
If you want to use ftp, then
ftp to alcpc1.psfc.mit.edu.
login or set User ID to "presenter" (no quotes)
you should know the password, if you do not, then
contact me (terry@psfc.mit.edu)
if you're using Fetch, then don't fill in the Directory
box
after you are connected, you should find the directory
whose name is IDEAS2004, open it
"put" your presentation there with the name the file
"Ideas04_your-last-name_first-two-words-in-ideas-title.ext", where "ext"
is the appropriate extension (.pdf, .doc, or .ppt).
