Big Lift Checklist

The following tests should be done before the big lift.  They
should be done in addition to any test already in Jim Rosati's
assembly procedure.  Please date and initial line items as they
are performed.




Perform 100 volt mega of TF core (and lower arms)

Perform Hi-pot of first-to-last turn

TF feltmetal check

	drive 100 amps through arm and core plates

	measure voltage across feltmetal pads

	all voltages should be below 25 uOhms


Measure OH2L feltmetal resistance

	drive 100 amps through OH2L coil

	feltmetal contact resistance should be less than 1 uOhm

	check operation of both TCs


Check OH position sensors

	check coil continuity

	check for faults to ground

	make sure leads are protected for big lift


Check OH flux loops

	check loop continuity

	check for ground faults
