THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE COMPLETED ON THE TORVAC CONSOLE AND STEP UP THE GAS:

STEP 1: On MIXING Screen
-toggle PUMP ON
-toggle PLENUM MIXING SCREEN to enable state
-input the plenum # of plenum to be used to fill from in
SELECT PLENUM location by typing in number and toggle enter on the keyboard to accept.
*Usually B-top is used and, therefore, plenum # 2 is selected.
-toggle PLENUM OUTPUT to accept this input
-toggle PURGE PLENUM
*The PLC will perform the necessary steps to purge the selected plenum.  This may take several minutes.
*indicator displays PURGING PLENUM while purging and then DONE when completed.
*Sometimes a fault occurs if the purge time is too long. If this occurs, clear fault and toggle purge plenum again.
-input 5.00 into DESIRED INCREMENT (PSIA) location of the gas to be used (normally D2)
-toggle GO
*The PLC will perform the necessary steps to purge the rest of the plenum system and fill the plenum with the selected gas. This may take several     minutes.
        *indicator displays EVACUATING MANIFOLD, PURGING
MANIFOLD, FILLING PLENUM, and then DONE.
-toggle PURGE PLENUM again
*The PLC will perform the necessary steps to purge the selected plenum again. This may take several minutes.
-if necessary, repeat purge steps
-input desired pressure into DESIRED INCREMENT (PSIA) location of the selected gas. For example, if running for long duration fill to 30 psi.
Note: If the plan is to fill directly from the bottle, the piezo valve should initially be pressured to a lower value (ie. ~5psi).
-toggle GO
        *Wait until plenum fills
-toggle PLENUM OUTPUT
*This will fill line to piezo valve

STEP 1A: NOTE: Complete only if filling directly from the bottle

On PLENUM Screen
-select SG valve for the selected gas.
-select Pin valve for the selected plenum.
(note: Normally, B top is selected and a minimum of 5 lbs is required)
-select Pout valve for the selected plenum.
NOTE: All other valves must be closed off from the fill manifold.

THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE COMPLETED ON THE RGA CONSOLE:
-set DWELL TIME to 250 ms by highlighting QUAD 1 window, selecting SCAN, entering 250 into DWELL TIME of popup window and clicking OKAY.
-set A INTERVAL (MIN) to 15 minutes by highlighting QUAD 1 window, selecting Schedule, entering 15 into A INTERVAL (MIN) of popup window and clicking OKAY.
-set Y-AXIS to an appropriate value by highlighting TREND window, selecting DISPLAY, entering the value into Y-AXIS of popup window and clicking OKAY. A typical setting is 5.0 E -08.

THE FOLLOWING STEP IS COMPLETED ON THE RATIOMATIC CONSOLE

-go to RATIO SCREEN and turn off ratiomatic pressure gauges for B_Cross and F_Port by toggling off AUTO RESTART and then OFF for each system.

TURN ON PROCEDURE:

STEP 1: Verify all power switches to PEI are closed

STEP 2: On the PUMP SCREEN of the UTILITY CONSOLE
-change state from STANDBY to COOLDOWN.
- verify that two pumps come on.

STEP 3: On the STATE1 Screen of the STATE Console
-move state to recool by unlocking console, if locked, and bypassing all systems on STATESET. After state is moved to recool, remove all system bypasses

BEFORE COMPLETING THE NEXT STEP, VERIFY THAT NO PERSONNEL ARE WORKING
NEAR THE TF BUS AND PORTS OF THE MACHINE, PLACE SIGNS AT THE ENTRANCE OF
THE CELL INDICATING THAT THE ECDC IS RUNNING, KIRK LOCK DOORS EXCEPT
THE CONTROL ROOM DOOR AND ANNOUNCE THE FOLLOWING
STATEMENT ON THE PA SYSTEM: "The ECDC system will be energized shortly.
Please stay clear of the TF bus and all the ports around the machine."

STEP 4: On the CONTROL Screen of the CRYO Console
-Disable 5A/5V Supply
-open TF Ross Relay by toggling DISABLE TF RELAYS
*indicator turns from pink to green
*depending on the state of the scanner program when the relay is opened, a cryo fault might be generated that states: 1 OR MORE RELAYS OPEN
*opening relays start a 60 sec timer that must time out before STEP 1 on the TF Console can be completed (Note: 60 second timer message on TF CONSOLE goes red during the time out period)
-Re-enable 5A/5V Supply

THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE COMPLETED ON THE TF CONSOLE:

STEP 1: ON THE PEI - MAN Screen
-toggle RESET (Note: This should clear TF ROSS RELAY INTERLOCK.)
*indicator turns from white to grey to white
-toggle CLOSE SWITCH
*message changes from BUS SWITCH OPEN to BUS SWITCH CLOSED
-toggle DC ON
*message changes for a green DC OFF to a white DC
*message white PEI DC OFF turns to red PEI DC INTERLOCK ON
-toggle ENABLE CURRENT SWEEP
*indicator turns from green to white

STEP 2: ON THE PEI-PROG Screen
-check the voltage limit setting (Normally, this is set to 15 volts.) and verify voltage (grey trace) and current sweep (purple trace) is running.

STEP 3: ON THE PEI - MAN Screen
-toggle TF/TORVAC CONTROL
*indicator turns from green to white
-toggle START AUTO ECDC
*indicator turns from green to white
*TF Buss Horn will sound as PEI shuts off
*message green MANUAL ECDC turns to white AUTO ECDC
*message white DC ON turns to green DC OFF
*message red PEI DC INTERLOCK turns to white PEI DC OFF
