UP TO AIR NOTES
1/1/01
Revised: 9/01/2005 GLD

1) At end of run, close emergency LN2 Value and allow LN2 to drain into sump.
Let pump run until low level alarm turns it off. Level may increase again to
allow turning the pump back on. Once it is determined that the level will stay
below the lower limit, open pump disconnect.

2) Place CRYO into SLEEP state

3) Increase HEAT to 45/45/45

4) Increase Cryostat Pressure to 0.10.

5) After all LN2 has vaporized in the feed line, turn manual valve off.

6) Turn off and lock out the following systems prior to machine entry:
_______ Sparker
_______ PEI
_______ Magnetron
_______ DNB
_______ Fast Gas Jet

7) Once machine has warmed to room temperature,
________ Turn blower heaters off
________ Open and lock the breaker to the heat system
________ Close GN2 purge valve
________ Disconnect and plug GN2 purge unions

8) Prepare C-port and G-port for entry.

9) Run Glow Discharge Cleaning until vessel is clean.
________ Lock out glow power supply when no longer needed.

10) Prepare for the removal of the cryo pump for the installation of the Hepa
Aire system.

11) Vent machine with hand valve located at H-port with air, heavy water, or
specified gas. (up to 749T)

12) Use spare diborane tester, located in Catherine's office, to determine
diborane level by inserting tubing into available port (usually C-Port) and
running air into vacuum vessel at another port with a blower unit. If level is
0 PPM, connect Hepa-Aire 1000 to cryo pump feed through location at H-port.
Using Hepa-Aire, run air into chamber and verify that the diborane reading is 0
PPM.

13) Remove flange at G-Port using flange fixture and crane. Fixture attaches to
flange at top with three bolts. Basket with weights is needed to counter
balance the weight of the flange.

14) Install tent around G-Port.
