| Physics Operator Run Summary for 1000816 This run was dedicated to bringing up the power supplies after several weeks of down time to upgrade the j-port antenna and add boron nitride tiles to all antennas. Physop : J Irby EO : B Cochran Summary: After problems with two power supply PCs, and some minor data system problems the power tests went very well today. All supplies are now tested and ready for operation. The last shot of the day was a plasma attempt that resulted in a fizzle with a very late breakdown (shot 29). It should be a good shot to start with tomorrow. Many diagnostics are already back online. Problems: EF4 reverse bridge under PLC had a problem, but EF4 worked fine under hybrid control. EF2L had large ripple under PLC control, but was okay when the current and voltage demand was tweaked a little. The G-side ratiomatic was not working today and needs to be repaired before tomorrow's run. |
