Today's run is aimed at heating with high power ICRF (> 5 MW) to explore higher
pressure, beta_normal, regimes in EDA H-Mode.

Summary: We did get up to 5 MW total ICRF, for shortish pulse lengths. H/D was
high, rising during the RF to values above 0.1. Shot 2 had a record neutron
rate (1.8e14 /s) at the top of one sawtooth. We scanned density (down), and got
high central temperatures in H-Mode (~5 keV at top of sawtooth on shot 16),
along with big MHD (e.g. shots 14 and 16) which locked and led to disruption.
Raising Ip from 1.0 to 1.1 MA (shots 7 and 8) tended to push away from EDA
toward ELM-free.

Summary
_______

Only limited success today. The RF was able to run above 4MW but not without
injections and trips. This may have been because the H/D ration rose during
the shot when heating was applied, exceeding 10% after about 1s. The RF
performance progressively seemed to degrade during the shot. Nevertheless
a number of shots with W over 200kJ were obtained at 1MA.

A way of keeping the H/D down is needed, we suspect, before reliable
high power RF heating can be obtained.

Power supply problems cost considerable time. Cooling was rather slow.
RF blew fuses at the end of the run a couple of times.

On a couple of disruptive shots the edge of the outer divertor in the
direction of j-port glows after the shot (and after launching missiles).

Shots 14 and 16 have massive MHD modes that might be interesting.
