After 12 discharges, the EFC supply misbehaved and the power group spent the rest of the day troubleshooting. Before the early termination, J-port was excersized up to 2.5 MW (next try was to be 3.0 MW) and were making good progress after struggling earlier (001-007). D-port was brought back online and was operated up to ~1.2 MW. |

First two shots were EFC tests. We had some mild startup problems throughout which were never really resolved. If fields and gas were changed to get nice current rise then we had late breakdown and eventually a fizzle. Adjusting fields for earlier breakdown lead to bad hesitation in current rise at .015 s. The density feedback was on visible bremstrahlung since TCI was not very reliable. The best achieved startup was on shot 7. On shot 12 we had a computer problem and most of the shot data were lost. Then the problem with EFC supply was discovered.
