| Run Summary for 1020606: Power Tests PO: Parker SL: Irby EO: Cochran, Dekow We quickly got through the OH and TF tests today under PLC control. The TF tap and OH coax resistances are nominal. We then ran the TF under Hybrid control successfully, but found a large glitch in the hybrid signals at around 0.5 s. This glitch turned out to be generated by the RFX DNB. It was greatly reduced in amplitude by removing foil covering the DNB DC break, and a fill line, both of which shorted the DNB to the machine. We loaded shot 1010801015 and ran all the magnets under hybrid control (shot 17). All magnets followed programming properly except ef2l which had an oscillation. We ran several shots with EF2s only under PLC control. Nothing unusual was found. We again started full tests on shot 22, and of course, EF2 was fine. We then began to tweak the fields to reduce BZ0. An IGOR problem on shot 24 ended the run before we could make much progress reducing BZ0 which was running -12 mT at t=0. |
