Run Plan: Continue RF Conditioning of all antennas. We will start with
inner wall limiter shot, e.g. 1020724002, in order to avoid H-mode.
Depending on how things go, we may go back to lower null later in the
day; a lower null shot to try is 1020723008.

NOTE: THE RUN IS SCHEDULED TO START AT 10:00 AM TO ALLOW TIME FOR ADDITIONAL
PRE-RUN RF WORK


Summary:

The machine ran reasonably well, until about 3:15 pm, when we started having
fizzles and duds. All plasmas were inner wall limited. D and E port got up to a
total of ~2.5 MW for nearly 0.5 s (shot 22). J-port was struggling, with a few
lowish power pulses near the end of the day. The late afternoon
fizzle-dud-edcd-plasma-fizzle-dud-ecdc-fizzle-dud-plasma sequence is baffling, and
beginning to be familiar. The sparker is suspected, but its role, as always, is
obscure.

There were problems with the interferometer; we switched back and forth between
feedback and preprogram for the fueling gas. The NINJA was also puffing,
causing modest density rises.

Boswell reports that a viewing dump (CXRS?) above the top of the outer divertor has
partially detached and is bending upward.
