ECDC overnight in D2, pressure=2e-4 Torr. Rmin/Rdwell/Rmax = 44/45/103 cm.
Bake at 60 C.

The run will start at 09:00 and end at 17:00.

Power systems as on 1070330008

A-coil configuration: normal [Dtop -Dbot -Jtop +Jbot] and enabled.

Gas Setup:
fill B-Top with 6 psi D2 Hybrid enabled (PG4)
fill B-side lower with 1 psi Ar Hybrid DISABLED (PG1)
leave B-side upper as is Hybrid DISABLED (PG2)
fill B-main (C-side) with 40 psi D2 Hybrid enabled (PG3)
leave NINJA as is with 20 psi D2 DISABLED

Enable the following gate valves and shutters, assuming no vacuum problems:
ECE, VUV, Z-bolo shutters

Torvac setup: Gate valves open during pulse.

Run plan:

We plan to run plain vanilla 5.4T, Ip~1 MA, nl_04~0.9 target
discharges and increase ICRF power to 1 MW per transmitter for up to 1
sec. Time permitting we will scan lower triangularity if the H/D
remains low.

Note: The power system setup is close but I would like 5.4 T (not 5.5
T), 1 MA (not 0.8 MA), and nl_04~0.9. We have not run one of these
so-called standard plasmas since last year. The right gap is fine and
the upper triangularity is low (.2) would prefer 0.3. A shot from
last year that is closer is 1060613015 but if it is easier to modify
based on 1070330008 then we will go that direction. If we need some
USN discharge then 1060421007 is a good candidate.

The run went fairly well, though there were several delays for cell access to fix diagnostics and for power room
access to fix the ICRF. There were also a large number of fizzles, particularly later in the day after when
after shot 21 Lipshultz asked to have the gate valves closed for 300 sec after each shot. It seems that the
next shot after a full length shot then fizzled apparently due to a large carbon emission in the startup.
Perhaps, if those extra five minutes were used to pump out the extraneous gases after the pulse, fewer fizzles
would result. However, this experiment was not done so it remains a speculation. There were some fizzles
earlier in the day before we closed the gate valves after the shot, but the frequency certainly increased later
in the day. The H/(H+D) ratio varied from about 0.08 to 0.2 during the shot, increasing during the ICRF.
Ratty H-modes were created on almost all shots. Clearly, a good boronization would help to improve plasma
conditions. Of 31 shots, there were 19 plasmas and 12 fizzles with no power supply problems, although shot 1
did behave rather strangely and disrupted at 0.3 s. The other plasma shots were full length, though shot 9 had
a lithium pellet injected at 1.6 s that then disrupted the plasma.
