Basic plan: Obtain HXR data for LH-modulated plasmas at several conditions (several good shots at each condition): 1) 90 deg ideal phasing, nl04=5e19, Ip=500 kA 2) 90 deg ideal phasing, nl04=7.5e19, Ip=500 kA 3) (time-permitting) 120 ideal phasing, nl04=7.5e19, Ip=800 kA 4) (time-permitting) 120 ideal phasing, nl04=7.5e19, Ip=800 kA 5) (time-permitting and if there is no time for a cell access after #2 is done) 90 deg ideal phasing, nl04=1e20, Ip=800 kA Plasma starting shot: 1070523021, with Ip changed from 800 kA to 500 kA LH start settings: 90 deg ideal phasing Alternating 12.5 ms on, 12.5 ms off from 0.6 to 1.5 s Net power of ~400 kW desired (see run 1070523, shots 21, 22, 23, and 25 for klystron power settings) |

Run will start at 13:00 and end at 17:00. (1/2 day run)
Power systems as on 1070523021 (with Ip changed to 0.5 MA)
A-coil configuration: +Dtop -Dbot -Jtop +Jbot; Enabled (standard
configuration)
Gas Setup:
fill B-Top with 6 psi D2 Hybrid enabled (PG4)
fill B-side lower with 1 psi Ar Hybrid DISABLED (PG1)
leave B-side upper as is Hybrid DISABLED (PG2)
fill B-main (C-side) with 40 psi D2 Hybrid enabled (PG3)
leave NINJA as is DISABLED
Enable the following gate valves and shutters, assuming no vacuum problems:
ECE, VUV, DNB, Z-bolo shutters
Torvac setup: gate valves open after the shot
Specific diagnostics: HXR, DNB

| Obtained HXR data for LH-modulated plasmas at 3 conditions (4-5 good shots at each condition):
1) 90 deg ideal phasing, nl04=5e19, Ip=500 kA (Shots 7-11,21) 2) 90 deg ideal phasing, nl04=7.5e19, Ip=500 kA (Shots 13-16, 22) 3) 90 deg ideal phasing, nl04=1e20, Ip=800 kA (Shots 17-20) Realized that TS was off for shots up to and including 17, so shots 21 and 22 were devoted to recreating conditions 1) and 2) for TS data. Nearly no LH trips, disruption on shot 11. |

MP#468 LH-driven fast electron diffusion time measurement (1/2 day)

This run involved only one magnetic configuration, at several different
densities and two different currents. Most of the shot-to-shot changes
involved LH phasing. So it was an easy day for the physics operator (for a
change).
The machine ran well. The only anomolies were shots 11 and 12, which had
early disruptions, with a large shower of glowing debris seen on the WIDE2
and JANT cameras on shot 11. This blew a few fuses in OH1. Fortunately
the problem went away on its own.
