Recalculate predictors. The emphasis is on bringing up divertor heat diagnostics, A scanning probe, DNB, and HIREX During this run it is very likely that there will be a number of cell accesses required to debug diagnostics. These have priority over plasma operation during this run.

This run included shots for clean-up and for diagnostic development. Note that Martin reported very high triangularity in the later shots compared to earlier ones. C-Mod ran well throughout the day. Some gas changes were made early in the day, but there were no magnetics changes required until late in the day. Diagnostic developement: There was frequent cell access for diagnostics. Ar was setup for hirex. The ratiomatic pressures seem to be reading low. The pressure increment with increase in PG4 pulse length is approximately a factor of two lower than expected. The pressures were lower than expected (compare 1090701) for a given PG4 pulse length. There was a fault on shot 016. A fault generated by the OH force detection system caused a TF fault. An offset and noise in the force detection system generated this spurious fault. Only the offset could be corrected prior to the next shot. (see Gary's comment under Power Systems for shot 016) On shot 017, the ZXU proportional gain step at 0.3 s was apparently causing a thrash on EF1U (see Steve's comment on shot 018). On 017 and 018, the proportional gain was removed and then moved later. There were no changes in the DPCS settings for several shots prior to this problem appearing.
