| This experiment is MP 623: The detection of LH waves using reflectometry
The objective of this experiment is to measure scattered signals (both frequency up-shifted (64.6GHz) and down-shifted (55.4GHz)) by the interaction between the 60GHz probe waves and 4.6GHz LH waves. Working gas: D2 Standard diagnostics for LH experiments LH launcher position: .1mm LH start and stop time: 0.7-1.2 sec cryopump on for density control run plan spectrum recorder will measure scattered signals about 10 times during 0.5sec. My plan is to average those signals to have a representative amplitude for each shot. I will detect up-shifted and down-shifted frequency component separately, in order to have maximum signal to noise ratio. | The goal of today's experiment was to document the level of scattered signals and noise floor from the interaction between the 60GHz reflectometer probe beam and LH waves. The focus was concentrated on detect up-shifted frequency component (64.6GHz) with a plasma parameter scan mostly with USN configuration, 5.4T field. The scattered signal was started to observe for the plasma with nl04>7e19 m^-2. Below this density, it is thought to be that the noise floor is greater than the scattered signals.
