| The primary goal of the MP was to record long data records (~1s) of fluctuations in the boundary plasma (midplane and divertor probes and GPI) for a variety of densities and currents. As planned, a three-point density scan was performed at Ip=0.55MA. At Ip=0.8MA we got an Ohmic H-Mode and lost two pins on the ASP probe. The program continued without the possibility to estimate the turbulence driven particle flux. Fluctuation data were subsequently obtained from a three-point density scan at 0.8MA and for two densities at 1.1MA. Selected discharges were repeated with GPI diagnostics. Overall, the experiments were successful and produced many high-quality data time series. |

The primary goal of the MP is to record long data records (~1s) of plasma fluctuations (Isat, Vf, fluxes) in the boundary plasma, both at the outer midplane and at the outer divertor surface, for a variety of densities and currents. Diagnostic setup: - Horizontal probe (ASP) operated in a dwell mode at two radial locations: 3mm and 8mm from LCFS. Electrodes NE and SE in ion saturation mode, NW and SW in floating mode. 5MHz sampling rate. High heat-flux handling Langmuir-Mach probe head must be installed on A-port drive system. - Divertor probes: all ramped probes operating in continuous ion saturation mode, flush probes in floating mode. 0.5MHz sampling rate. - FSP and WASP Langmuir-Mach scanning probes operated in spatial scan mode. Target probes to reach to the separatrix (3 plunges) such that the phase velocity shear layer is recorded. Operate in standard I-V sweep mode (2 kHz) with 5MHz sampling. Overnight ECDC in D2, standard parameters. Shot Plan Reload from shot#1111202026. This was a 0.8 MA, 5.5 tesla shots with NL04 ~ 0.5e20. Change plasma current to 0.55 MA. Change density program to 0.3e20. Remove strike point sweep. Set strike point to be constant, corresponding to the time of 0.85 s in this shot (1111202026). Make sure cross-over patch is employed to stabilize plasma position. No ICRF. No cryopump. No NINJA. No DNB 0.55 MA Shot #1 - 3 NL04~0.3 Optimize gaps and probe targeting Start with ASP scanning to find LCFS location. Then change to NE and SE in ion saturation mode, NW and SW in floating mode.
