Setting up for gas tests using the new Piezo Valves
on B-DIV and H-div. 

Bring up PCS (live) and turn seg2 off,
rename SEG01 to "Gas tests 2012/01/13"

On ALL_Vs screen:
   Draw PG6 (B-DIVERTOR) waveform as 50V trapezoid followed by step to 100V,
     and ramp down to 0 at -2. 
   For PG7 (H-DIVERTOR) drag same waveform to -1.5sec
These will test the waveform generation, with no gas. 
For gas tests, I will want to look at turn on delays, so I'll change the
onsets to vertical.

Ratiomatic on

Shouldn't have any gas, just look at waveforms.
Still setting up scopes

Result: Gas fault on TORVAC PLC,
Got waveforms on demand signal outputs 22 and 23 as programmed.
No, i.e. zero, drive monitor or plenum signals.

It may need the H-bottom plenum enabled? 

Result: HV enable light comes on briefly in pulse,
then gets a gas fill fault and turns off

Shot#3: Yuri is going to look at the plc logic during the cycle,
no changes yet, so it's still going to fail.

Yuri had  bypassed the fault, so it didn't come up, 
but the HV enable light came on and went off, as before, 
no permissive no HV

Result: It looks like there is logic in the plc associated with
the non-existent main plenums for bdiv and hdiv that has not been 
bypassed. Yuri is going to try to bypass these.

Result: Hv enable came on and stayed on. 
Signal seen from H-div, digitizer starts after -2sec, so misses the
B-div signal.

Result: Got gas, on the five scale on IGT
Plenum signal on B-DIV plenum is in the bit noise, and is coming out
negative. -.02V. I guess we should have used the 10Torr gauges? 
The MKS gauges show a peak of 0.84 Torr-liter
Rise in the ratiomatic starts at -.74sec, about 200msec delay
peaks about -.23 sec. Seems long, maybe it's reasonable.

Next: repeat with gate valves closed for 25 sec in pulse
to get a good calibration.

Result: MKS gauges claim 1.05 Torr-liter, which implies 2 T-l/sec for 0.5sec
at 50V demand and 4psi. 
plen_bdiv gives -.024 change, which is in the bit noise.
Well, it's not so bad if you smooth it, modifying the  gas_input scope 
shows about 1Torr-l

Next: Same puff from H-div, others all off.

Seem to have gotten a little less, MKS shows 0.87 Torr-l
plen_hdiv gets 0.84 Torr-liter (with nominal calibration)

Result: Hardly any pressure rise. Drive signal looks like it's only 
outputting 60V at the top of the chop. 
Pressure rose to low e-6 scale on IGT, 
torus MKS gauges show ~.02Torr-liter

Looks like there has been a change in the response of the
piezo driver or the AFOL since the last time we used this. 

Willy and Roza will check in the cell.

Result: Got 9.4 V on the H-bot monitor. This implies the problem
is the AFOL.

Shot#18: Willy is going to replace the AFOL board on 17-20
with the one from 29-32 which was unused.

Result: Btop piezo monitor signal reads 8.2V, the
input as digitized on the ACQ196_1 reads 9.85 volts on the H-bot input,
which is feeding the B-top piezo. 
THe H-bottom piezo, which is seeing the pulse for B-top, reads 9.34V

Willy is going to take the original AFOL card to the shop and check
it on the bench at 10V input

Back in the interface room
I will run a dpcs test shot to leave 10V on 
output 19 and also on output 32. I'll need to turn off the 
software fizzle detector so it doesn't take out the signal

Draw output ending at 100V on output_19 and 10V on output_32
Turn off dpcs_fizzle
Verify I'm only running segment 1
Acknowledge the warning about disabling the fizzle.

Shot ran, I think output_19 stayed high,
but nothing from output 32. Maybe the gain is set to zero? 
Yes, the gain is undefined, as are the phys_limits. 

But the result on output_19 is 125kHz right where it should be 
The AFOL (this is the swapped one) is just fine, despitr
the fact that the board downstairs only interprets it as 8.2V (or did)

Next: Set Gains on output_31 and 32 to be the same as on 19,
and copy the waveforms over.

Shot#102: Tryng to understand what happened to the output_31 and
output_32 waveforms on #102, it looks like the 100V waveform was not
loaded. I had a 10.0 V signal loaded on output_32, with a gain=0.1
and a zero waveform on 31. I think the waveforms are from 101, which seems
to correspond to the timestamp on the node of 13-JAN-2012 16:14:12.32

I guess I didn't load it until #103. Well, I did do a load of something
at 16:33:14, according to the cut and paste in the logbook entry, 
but maybe I didn't hit apply on the ALL_V screen? Or maybe the 
X problem was already setting in. Of course, now I've blown away
the PCS so I can't scroll back to look at the terminal messages.

Willy and Roza readjusted the AFOL so the output is 123.9kHz, 
which is not saturating the receiver, according to the led indicator.

This should put everything back to zero, restore the dpcs_fizzle and
put H-bot back in the dpcs_piezo_chopper list

Result: I think it worked. Scope MOUT values look normal on all channels
I still have the gain and phys_limits set on output_31 and output_32.
