| Due to the abbreviated day, we were limited to investigating
boronization recovery and FA-J antenna clearly conditioned faster than E and D antennas. D antenna required additional discharges beyond E antenna but conditioning up to 1 MW was done in 6 discharges. We pushed FA-J antenna to 1.5 MW into EDA H-mode with voltages ~40 kV without fault for ~0.1 s. The loading change with L-H transitions for FA-J antenna appear to be less perturbative than for D and E antennas. |

| Ran a gas test shot after work on piezos yesterday. result good.
Alternator air-switch leak caused a long delay. After it was replaced, we re-started the run at 3:40 pm, and ended at 5:30 pm. All the plasmas that were heated with RF entered H-modes; however, the confinement quality was poor. Total 9 plasma attempts. full plasma: 8 No power shot due to computer issues: 1 |

Since Tommy has just replaced the valve on B-DIV, and Willy has changed the software and recalibrated the piezo drivers we should at least test these during the morning gas tests. Add to the seg1 programming a puff from B-DIV from -1.9 to -1.7 sec, with the first 100msec at 50V and the second at 100V. B-DIV to be set HYBRID ENABLED and for the H-BOT plenum to be enabled. result: good (Wolfe approved). Next: try plasma shot...disable Bdiv hybrid, and Hbot plenum.. |

Air-switch leaking air... the alternator has to wind down before the switch can be replaced... Run delayed at least 6 hours... free access for now... At 01:30 pm, air-switch was replaced...and alternator will be spinning up...and for a short run today (expected sometime after 3 pm) First plasma shot is expected around 3:30 pm..alternator at 1003 at this moment (2:55 pm) we plan to run until 5:30 pm today... |
