MP696 "Continued investigations of dilution effects on turbulence and transport in low density ohmic plasma"

The purpose of this run is to investigate the effects of dilution in ohmic plasmas. We will run an ohmic density scan from nl04 = 0.7 to 0.3 x 10^20 m^-2 without seeding at the beginning of the day and then scan again nl04 = 0.3 to 0.7 x 10^20 m^-2 with Nitrogen seeding, and then if time remains repeat some densities with Argon seeding.

This run is based on 1120210XXX and the latter half of 1120222XXX. This run repeats those shots at higher current (1.0 MA instead of 800 kA)

Equilibrium: based on 1100226015 (USN, 5.4T, 1.0 MA)
NINJA: 10 PSI He @ 1.35s for GPI
H-Bot: 1 psi Ar puff at 0.4s for 75ms with 100V for HIREX-Sr, will increase pressure to 2 psi when done with N2 seeding and change voltage and time
B-Lower: 15 psi N2, voltages variable
Cryopump: On when seeding, off when not seeding
DNB: On for boron CXRS

The run got off to a shaky start, but once we moved away from the lower densities and to the higher ones we had better luck. An unseeded ohmic scan was done from nl04 = 0.82 to 0.4 x 10^20 m^-2 and the seeded shots were done from nl04 = 0.47 to 0.80. Rotation reversals were observed after nitrogen seeding on discharges 25-27 which were slightly above the transition density. A summary of the shots is presented below:
