Apr 26 1994 10:54:55:600AMGerry TiniosAfter some initial power supply tests, this run will attempt
to follow MP #42. On the side, Artur will test his pressure
gauge, and some up-down symmetric shots (OH1, EF3, EF4)
will be used to debug magnetics (flux loop 17 in particular).

Apr 26 1994 11:08:30:760AM940426001Gerry TiniosTF only.

Apr 26 1994 11:15:13:790AM940426002Gerry TiniosTF only, 100kA.

Apr 26 1994 11:24:57:830AM940426003Gerry TiniosOH1 only. 10 kA.

Apr 26 1994 11:35:30:680AM940426004Gerry TiniosEF3 only 6 kA.
Fault at -0.5 sec

Apr 26 1994 11:56:18:900AM940426005Gerry TiniosEF3 only again.

Apr 26 1994 12:26:26:730PM940426006Gerry TiniosEF4 only. 4 kA

Apr 26 1994 02:35:58:620PM940426007Gerry TiniosTF finally declared cold! PLC readings were warmer than actual
temperature.
This shot uses all coils, including TF.
It is the platform on which all shots for MP#42 are based.

Disaster! Only TF and chopper worked properly.

One of the other coils had a fault at -0.5 and tripped all the others.

Apr 26 1994 02:52:19:400PM940426008Gerry TiniosRun EF3 only on hybrid control.
The TF temperature rose by 50 degrees with the last shot,
so that we decided to disable it for the rest of the day.

Apr 26 1994 03:08:12:050PM940426009Gerry TiniosEF2's and EF3.
In this shot there is no current feedback gain after t=0, but voltage
programming (from the hybrid as well).

EF3 fault shutdown.

Apr 26 1994 03:34:49:710PM940426010Gerry TiniosHybrid control of EF3 (as per previous shot) and
PLC control of EF2's.

EF2's worked. EF3 did not.

Apr 26 1994 03:57:02:480PM940426011Gerry TiniosEF2's and EF3 disabled.
All other coils under hybrid control.
TF flattopping from -1 to 0. (for pressure gauge calibration).

Oh2U had oscillations programmed into it.
Sustaining voltage for OH1 was small so Oh1 current is decaying
and carrying OH2's along with it.

Apr 26 1994 04:33:12:220PM940426012Gerry TiniosSame as previous shot, with following differences:

1) OH1 sustaining voltage up to 40V
2) All coils ramp up faster
3) Larger proportional gain during the current feedback phase

Controllers after t=1 ought to have been nonzero. But they were
not. Therefore the power supplies kept going.

Apr 26 1994 04:42:47:370PM940426013Gerry TiniosCurrent feedback until t=0.
Then no feedback; coils are left free to
coast down. The current feedback is turned back on at t=1.

Apr 26 1994 05:25:40:840PM940426014Gerry TiniosThis time current feedback is used during the entire shot.
currents are ramped up, left at flattop, and ramped down.

EF3 did not work

Apr 26 1994 05:30:44:210PM940426015Gerry TiniosRepeat previous shot.

EF3 worked. OH and EF1 commutation resistors were
inadvertently left in and turned off at 0.1sec for OH's
and 0.2 sec for EF1's.

Apr 26 1994 05:42:43:120PM940426015Gerry TiniosRepeat previous shot.

EF3 worked. OH and EF1 commutation resistors were
inadvertently left in and turned off at 0.1sec for OH's
and 0.2 sec for EF1's.
