| Session Leader report - Horne, Hutchinson, Daigle, Bertolino. This run tested power supplies under PLC control, one system at a time, with precautions to avoid inducing current in coils not under test. The objective was to generate a clean set of data to verify the magnetics against the shunts and rogowskis. The gas system (fill and puff from hybrid on pulse_gas_3) were tested and they worked. Apparently F16 is ailing. However, F13 seems to be ok. We think we can patch together enough information about the flux in this region from the remaining loops; this will be critical for analyzing startup nulls. The loss of F16 should be less important once we get plasma. I turned f16 off in the hybrid tree, and turned on f13 and f17. We'll need to re-run the algorithms again to pick up these changes. I did some analysis of the magnetics vs coil currents during the run; the error we saw in IH1 has been significantly reduced; this implies that the various integrator calibrations we did were important. The only significant error was the EF2U current; the magnetics claim there's 5% less current here than the rogowski claims. ONLY DO SEGMENT 1, SINCE THAT'S ALL THAT'S USED FOR THE FIDUCIAL. Looked ok, but some afols are off. 3. OK Data system, hybrid are working. ===== Plc Power Tests Start!!!===== 4. OH2 U 10KA PLC CONTROL Simulation shows better agreement between rogowskis and magnetics!! 5. same, reverse polarity. Current starts at -.5 gas prefill seems to work. 6. OH2 L . 7. Extend invert to 1.1 sec, but set fizzle on at sec. This should verify that fizzle works. Also check hybrid puff. Both worked. (pulse_gas_3) Magnetics don't agree very well.<=============== 8. OH1 positive. Worked; some induced EF3. Magnetics check looks good! 9 OH1 negative . No induction. 10. EF1 U, 8 ka FAULT, CROWBAR. flux loop 16 is FUNNY? <========= 11 same, 6ka . worked. 12 same, reverse polarity 13 ef1l 14 ef1l reverse 15 tf only, at 150 ka. 16 REPEAT. Bob didn't integrate long enough. 17 ef3 18 EF2U. LOTS OF INDUCED CURRENTS. 19 ef2l 20 ef4 21 ef4 reverse 22 Repeat 18 with no induced currents. |
