EO Silva/Bertolino.

Completed power supply testing.
Corrected an EF4 problem and checked it out.
Discovered a problem with some of the new alternator instrumentation but
it is not crucial to operations and can be fixed at leisure.
Exercised gas valves.
Ran TF under hybrid control.

Shot 28 A full scale shot with all power supplies performing close to
nominal. A very poor null because of Br offset (corrected), and Bz offset.

Unfortunately this last shot had and instrumentation self-destruct when
the ross relays closed prematurely, terminating the run.

EF1U has a line frequency ripple of about 60 V not unlike the OH2
.
Looked at 970624005 (a plasma shot) it has no line ripple.
970626013 which is an EF1 only test has a line ripple similar to the current shot.
This suggests that this ripple is somehow introduced by the PLC control.

Cut the gas programming from shot 27 into the Voltage for gas puff.
Turn off the nl04 feedback, because the interferometer is not working. (Was 4).
Lots of alarms go off.

Null fairly dreadful. Br=+3mT Bz=+4mT. EF4U has -100A more than EF4U.

In view of the Br we are seeing, lowered the Br offset from .0065 to .003 T.

However, run ends because of various instrumentation problems.
