Plasma Technology

High Power Electrodeless Plasma Torch

Current off the shelf technology can be used to assemble a novel, compact, electrodeless plasma system, which

High Power Electrodeless Plasma torch

can be used to thermally destroy a variety of wastes. Such a system makes use of high frequency microwave power to create an efficient electrodeless plasma torch by sustaining a large volume plasma at atmospheric or near atmospheric pressure. Efficiency much greater than RF induction coupled torches has been achieved. Two of the major advantages of such a system are to replace traditional costly and bulky technologies such as incineration and conventional plasma arc furnaces, and to provide environmentally superior treatment by providing controlled, high temperature non-combustion processing without hazardous emissions.
