Temperature Modification: Yes, through NKEMOD=0,-1 and TKEMOD=0.150
Density Modification: Yes, artificial H-mode barrier
Chi Modification: No
Current to limit q(0) set: Yes, used: No
Comments:
This case modifies the density profile of TRANSP 2195 to include an H-mode. Central density is kept low to see if this case will work.
It uses 50 rays, TORIC, and equilibrium solver VMEC6.
Reverse shear is maintained throughout. q never drops below 2. The average bootstrap fraction is 0.175. The next step is to increase the central density and make
a more realistic C-Mod H-mode density profile. For more information about the run see the input namelist.
The image below plots the total current vs time. The current is mostly supplied by LH.
Legend:
Total Current: White
Lower Hybrid: Red
Ohmic Current: Green
Bootstrap Current: Blue
Electron Density: Cyan
The figure below shows the actual power spectrum from the TRANSP output.
