The Deputy Director of the Plasma Science and Fusion Center (PSFC) at MIT plays a crucial leadership role in advancing the center’s mission to explore and develop fusion energy and plasma science. The role demands an understanding of fusion technology, and related scientific fields, along with significant experience in research leadership and project management.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as it involves extensive interaction with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree and demonstrated leadership capabilities. Qualifications:  Master’s degree in science, engineering, or business management; seven years of management or other significant, related experience required.  Experience required in managing complex research projects. Some domestic and international travel may be required.
